An Weekend of Firsts!

As the title suggests, I have recently had a weekend filled with 'firsts'. My property purchase finally completed 2 weeks ago, and so Rob and I travelled to Kent to pick up the keys and go and look at my first house! So the weekend that started off so exciting and so well, ended up seeing me experience my first hospital visit, first general anaesthetic and first stitches!!

Anyway, I'll go back to the good aspect of the weekend - seeing the house! Rob took some video footage so you can all have the grand tour. Special thanks to Rob for his kind comment during the filming!

The house looked very different with the previous owner's furniture removed, it will be very exciting to be able to start thinking about what I want to buy for it when I eventually move in! I met with a potential tenant on the Saturday evening and he really liked the place, so he will be moving in this coming weekend! It has all worked out well timing wise, so here's hoping it continues ok.

So onto the second part of the weekend. I managed to slip down some stairs on Sunday morning and very dramatically put my face through a glass door panel at the bottom! Before I knew what was happening, my friends piled me into a car and off to the hospital. I ended up being admitted as they wanted to put me under in order to stitch up my face. I was incredibly lucky as some of the cuts were very close to my right eye, but the eye itself was unharmed (thank goodness).

I had a very boring and uneventful week at home while I recovered and then the stitches came out on Friday. It is amazing how quickly everything is healing - am almost back to 'normal'. So I was back at work today and life continues as normal! I'll be going back down to Chatham this weekend to hand my tenant the keys so I will get some more photos - I'll be avoiding all glass doors!
