Lake Vyrnwy

I went on another little outing this weekend - this time with my flatmates. We packed a picnic and made our way to Lake Vyrnwy, which is about 30 miles away in Wales. The lake is actually a dam and when it was filled, it flooded an old village that was in the valley (luckily the residents had warning and were re-housed before hand!!

We drove the whole way around the lake (approx 11 miles) and stopped at a few places along the way for photos and to have our picnic lunch. We walked about 20 minutes to a waterfall, which was really lovely. Unfortunately the weather wasn't as good as it has been.
